In recent years our interdisciplinary team gained great experience and capacity in the field of epilepsy and stroke. It is our goal to keep up and further develop the following emphases of our work. Joint efforts in these fields are very welcome.

• Socio-economic evaluations (direct and indirect costs of diseases, cost-effectiveness, quality of life, success of treatment)
• Investigator initiated clinical research (therapy, electrophysiology (including subdural EEG, TMS, etc.), functional transcranial Doppler-sonography, brain imaging)
• Pharmacologic research: Phase II, III, IV – studies
• Basic research (neuroinflammation in epilepsy, neurovascular coupling)
• Teaching and training of health care professionals (physician, techs, nurses) and patients with their relatives
• Organisation of (international) meetings

Unser interdisziplinäres Team hat in den letzten Jahren große Expertise und Leistungsfähigkeit auf dem Gebiet der Epileptologie und Schlaganfall-Forschung/-versorgung erworben, so dass wir folgendes Leistungsspektrum auch in Zukunft vorhalten können und gerne in Kooperationen einbringen wollen.

• Schulung und Ausbildung von „health care professionals“ (Ärzte, Pflege, MTA(-F)) und Betroffenen mit ihren Angehörigen
• Organisation von (internationalen) Tagungen
